Chindeni Bushcamp
Lodge style Breathtaking bush experience
Clever combinations
Situated in the southern region of the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia is Chindeni Camp. A luxury tented bush camp lying on the edge of a permanent lagoon, Chindeni boasts prolific wildlife and birdlife views. The Chindeni Hills provide an endless and breathtaking backdrop. Watch elephants bathe by sunset from your private deck (which is like having your own private tree house hidden between Ebony trees) while a Kingfisher hovers over. Wake up to the light of the Africa sunrise, spreading its beautiful colour palette over the landscape. A soft knock at the door lets you know that your light, fresh breakfast is ready. After your belly is soothed and your body gets a kick-start from fresh hot coffee, it is time for a morning game drive. Prepare for a spoonful of wildlife viewings: lions, zebras, giraffes, elephants, leopards and more. With over 60 different animal species and over 400 different bird species, this area will deliver. The professional guides at this camp won’t hesitate to take you out of the vehicles and go off on a walking safari. You will notice how many more details there are to discover when on foot.
A clever combination of canvas and teak, with stripped wooden floors, the four spacious tents are raised on wooden decking and luxuriously furnished. There are two twin tents and two double tents, with each tent incorporating en-suite facilities of a flush toilet, shower and double vanity; four poster beds are draped with a mosquito net, and the tents also offer private decks. An expanse of varnished decking built on stilts around the surrounding ebony trees and over the oxbow lagoon creates the shaded dining area and adjoining lounge space. Here, you can relax in the open air and absorb the outstanding wildlife activity and magnificent views.

Tripadvisor comments Chindeni Bushcamp
Have to say this was the best trip of our lives. Thank you for making it a beyond our wildest dreams. Animals, Food, Staff all incredible. Accommodation is great, you feel like you are sleeping with the Lions. The baboons bring an extra thrill to the area. You can sit and watch the elephant pass by your feet. You will eat like kings. Would recommend over and over again.

We had the good fortune to stay 2 nights at Chindeni. The twin team of Peter and Mishec added to our enjoyment. It is difficult to find enough adjectives to describe how good a stay we had. From the cup of tea and toast at first light to turning in at night we wanted for nothing. Our guide Mishec missed nothing and we saw, leopard, elephant, giraffe, buffalo and much much more. When something is so good you feel you want to keep it to yourself. Chindeni gives you that feeling but we owe to all the team to tell the world how very good they are.
